Heven AeroTech Raises $100 Million Series B, Achieving $1 Billion Valuation Amid Rising Customer Demand
Heven AeroTech, recognized as an innovator in hydrogen-powered Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), has secured $100 million in a Series B funding round, valuing the company at $1 billion. IonQ (NYSE: IONQ), a quantum computing leader, led the round, with ongoing support from existing investors such as Texas Venture Partners.
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Sterling, Virginia, Heven AeroTech operates globally and focuses on hydrogen fuel cell propulsion for long-endurance aerial platforms. The Z1 flagship model offers flight durations exceeding 10 hours and ranges over 600 miles, addressing advanced operational requirements for defense, public safety, and commercial sectors.
This investment is intended to support Heven AeroTech in responding to increased demand from U.S. Special Operations Command, other combatant commands, and allied forces for resilient, energy-independent UAS platforms.
Bentzion Levinson, CEO and Founder of Heven AeroTech, stated, “Achieving unicorn status affirms our technological capabilities and operational effectiveness. This funding will allow the expansion of U.S. manufacturing, the advancement of quantum-enabled features within our platforms, and the delivery of long-endurance hydrogen-powered systems to meet critical national security needs.”
Deployment of the new capital will focus on three key strategic areas, reflecting current market demands:
U.S. Manufacturing: Scaling domestic production infrastructure to address rising customer demand and minimize supply chain risks.
Rapid Fielding: Developing hydrogen generation and logistics networks to enhance sustained forward operations.
Advanced Systems & Quantum Integration: Innovating quantum-secure communications, alternative navigation solutions for GPS-denied environments, and AI-driven autonomous system capabilities.
The funding announcement follows Heven AeroTech’s strategic partnership with IonQ, emphasizing the integration of quantum computing into UAS platforms. Heven AeroTech will establish a dedicated quantum-focused engineering division aimed at enhancing platform functionality, particularly in positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) for contested and degraded environments, a need highlighted by recent military engagements in Ukraine and Gaza.
